Dave-
I believe God is without error.
Therefore, anything he does, thinks, says etc. is without error.
The "Bible" is simply a book, like any other book.
The "inspiration" of God found in it, is without error.
This is what makes the Bible without error, not the other way around.
yoel-
OK- just wanted to get that straight, Dave.
Dave-
The "Bible" is simply a book, like any other book.
yoel-
Then, what is so great about it?
If it is "simply a book, like any other book", then why are you trying so
hard to avoid looking at the errors? Would you do this to, say, a Steven
King book? I made a post yesterday where Steven King fanatics were trying
to explain away an obvious mistake in one of his books. Since according to
you, the Bible is "simply a book, just like any other book", what is the
difference?
If it is "simply a book, just like any other book", then why not read
another book?
Also, since it is "just like any book", how many other "inspired" books are
there?
you said: "The "inspiration" of God found in it, is without error."
Well, if so, which part of the Bible is "inspiration" and which part isn't?
Which part do you force yourself to believe, and which part of the Bible do
you reject?
