As a matter of fact I have suggested various web sites to Christian
acquaintances, usually with no response, which may mean that they
have read it and are considering the information, but it is difficult
to say for sure.
I agree that access to information is a major key. In this respect,
then, we might harbor hope that the phenomenon of the internet will
play an important part in the eventual demise of religious belief.
I know many are of the opinion that religion will be an eternal part
of the human race, but optimism drives me to see a future where
informed reason wins out in the end.

The internet is indeed a powerful tool. I don't think any of us will be
able to guess just how MUCH this will change society. It really is
frightening. Any information at the touch of your fingers... No need to
go to a high-rise - just work at home. There are so many possibilities.
Personally, I'd like to see telecomuting take off a bit more and allow
more people to work at home. I think it would help society out -
especially since more parents will be with their children...
As for seing a future where informed reason wins out in the end - Long
Live Star Trek!!!
