Mr. Till / Walid debate on Ezekiel 26
The problem of Mr. Till=92s approach is evident from his letters and arti=
cles,
his presuppositions that we live in world with no God. Miracles are not
possible, therefore prophecy is not possible.
Anyone who believes in God must understand these motives first before the=
y
analyse the data.
The best way to start the debate is to expect the challenger(Mr. Till) to
answer the series of questions and present some issues which are of vital
importance to prove his case. When his attempts are done we can conclude =
and
move on. These issues end with (?) a question mark needs to be answered i=
f
he wants to prove his case. If these issues are not answered than as I
believe, Mr. Till=92s arguments needs to be thrown out of court and dismi=
ssed.
The readers will be the Jury in this case.
The first issue Mr. Till must respond to is the dating of Ezekiel. It see=
ms
that Mr. Till has a doubt concerning this matter. When did Ezekiel write =
his
book ?
Mr. Till also needs to respond to several issues I brought up in my origi=
nal
letter. It seems that he only presented his objections to Ezekiel=92s sty=
le,
and tried to tare down Ezekiel with the hatchet as he did Mr. Hogan, but
ignored to resopond to many issues I brought up. I will consider his
rejection to avoid these issues as a weakness in his already weak case
against Ezekiel. Here are some:
- If the manuscripts were tampered with later on(after the event), how
could it be that the later events were fulfilled only hundreds of years a=
go,
the Dead Sea Scrolls(2000 years old) can prove that the Ezekiel we have
today is exactly what was before Christ. The same attack on Isaiah was
going on for
centuries, as they thought there was 2 Isaiah's. This was also shattered =
by
the discovery of The Dead Sea Scrolls.
- The prophecy is still being fulfilled today, as the challenge still
goes on, can Tyre be rebuilt on it=92s original site?.
- Other prophecies made in The Bible confirms the impossibility of
destroying God's promisses, and the major one is Israel as it was invaded
several times by Muslim Arabs, and were defeated. If Israel was finished,
anihilated, and destroyed then The Bible would have been a total fraud.Th=
e
God of Israel promissed in there restoratiom declaring ; =93and they shal=
l not
be pulled up=94 (Jer 24:6), yet the Arab and Muslim world will try again =
and
again.
Mr. Till: How do you respond to these promises made by God?
Please read on as Tyre is mentioned here and is crucial to the points I
brought up:
God in the Bible promissed that the enemies of Israel will fail. The
Psalms of David(the one who killed Goliath), in chapter 83. Notice verse =
4
=93They have said, =93Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, =
That the
name of Israel may be remembered no more.=94. Which sounds like a speech =
by
Jamal Abdel-Naser, and every Arabic leader who declared war on Israel and
lost, exactly what the Bible foretold thousands of years ago by David(Dau=
d).=20
It is fascinating as it names all the nations that opposed Israel in t=
he
last 50 years. The nations mentioned are: Edom, Moab, Amalek, Ammon, chil=
dren
of Lot (Jordan), Ishmaelites and Hagarites (The Arabs), Gebal (Beirut), =
The
inhabitants of Tyre (Syrians), Philistines (Palestinians and Syrians),
Assyria (Iraq). Notice it said =93THE INHABITANTS OF TYRE=94, since God a=
lready
new that the city of Tyre itself will be destroyed and totally removed
(Ezekiel 26), yet it's people still have there desendants living.=20
How did David (Daud) know of this if he wrote the Psalms (Al-Zabur) from =
his
own mind ?=20
Also notice the most important verse to me 16 =93Fill their faces with
shame, That they may seek Your name, O Lord.=94. This was fulfilled
literally, I myself witnessed The Jordanian Army fleeing from fear, they
were taking there
uniforms off and runing with there underwears from fear. It is also a
declaration to the enemies of Israel, that the God of the Bible does not =
hate
the Arabs or the Muslims, but is requesting them to repent and turn to
him(That they may seek Your name O Lord), and beleieve in his salvation, =
he
is like a loving father to his children, that when they go against his wi=
ll
he would have to inflict some pain as to re-direct them His way.=20
The same God did for the Phraoh of Egypt, he bid him to let His people=
go,
then started with simple punsihments of frogs, hail, and other stuff, he
loved the egyptians who many of them went along with Moses.
How can Mr. Till explain away these promises ?
These prove the impossibilities of such accusations and show that The Bib=
le
is 100% God's Word, Mr. Till has to respond to these questions.
I rest my case for now
Walid
