Sorry, Tod, I misplaced your letters; Please post what you want to say to
Morgan. All you other sharks are welcome to join in and rip off a leg or two,
there is plenty to go around.

religions are simply heaps of myths and errors."

(I should have said ALL religions, I was careless, and Morgan doesn't miss a
beat.... Izz)

Morgan
Aha! At last we agree on something Izz! I too hold the position that most
religions are heaps of myths and errors. Of course, I'm guessing that you
would include Christianity within that sphere, which I of course would not,
but perhaps we may yet have a shread of common ground.

Izz
"So I will ask you to tell me what you believe inerrancy and inspiration
mean; I will then try to demonstrate the Bible is not inerrant."

Morgan
I would argue that the Bible is the Divinely inspired Word of God. By
Divinely inspired, I mean that God's holy Prophets and Apostles received true
inspiration directly from God, causing them to write the pages of Holy
Scripture (what we would call the Bible). However, this does not mean God
dictated exact words, and a Prophet's hand moved the pen to parchment and
wrote verbatim every word from God. Rather, God in some way conveyed the
ideas, which were recorded by His chosen Prophets and Apostles, yet still
allowing their individual personalities to be involved. Therefore, the Book
of Romans exudes the truth of God, but within the context of the Apostle
Paul's own words, grammer, and otherwise noticeable personality traits (i.e.,
personal greetings to the addressees in Rome etc). The Word of God is
innerrant because it is revealed by Him, and He does not lie.

If I have neglected any important details within this summarization of
biblical inerrancy, please do let me know, and I will elaborate in as much as
I am able.

Morgan
