One of his response to Archeological Proof is the following :=20

Perhaps you would like to review some of The BIG GUN historians to get a =
feel
on what they found out concerning The Bible and History, maybe you can se=
nd
it to your friend, and tell him that I would like to invite him to
Christianity, it seems he does not accept the miracles in the Bible. Howe=
ver
examine the following which are some of the greatest historians achologes=
ts
and writers known.

John Robinson, A liberal writer who wrote the book Honest to God was
challenged by his colleagues to look at the dates for when the New Testam=
ent
books were written. He responded with a book =93Re-dating The New Testame=
nt. In
that book he made the astonishing claim that Mark was written about 40 A.=
D
and all of the New Testament books were written before 70 A.D. More and m=
ore
of today=92s scholarship have no choice but to choose that route. Why? Ke=
ep in
mind, Jesus died about 33 A.D

William Ramsay, One of the greatest known archeologest and a scholar who
traveled to dis-prove the Bible and was overwhelmed by the evidence ended=
up
as a Christian like me. His books were considered to be classics on the s=
tudy
of the New Testament=92s history.

A. N. Sherwin-White, Another classical historian at Oxford University who
studied the extensive evidence against the historical accuracy of The Boo=
k of
Acts writes: =93For Acts the confirmation of historicity is overwhelming.=
..any
attempt to reject its basic historicity even in matters of detail must no=
w
appear absurd=94.

William F. Albright, the world=92s foremost biblical archaeologist said
=93everyone of the books that you=92ve got in your New Testament were wri=
tten by
baptized Jews between 50 to 80 A.D=94.=20

Otto Betz, one of the worlds most respected scholar in his book =93What d=
o we
know about Jesus?=94 said; =93no serious scholar has ventured to postulat=
e the
non-historicity of Jesus.

F. F. Bruce, author of the New Testament Documents: Are They Reliable,
agrees: =93The historicity of Christ is as axiomatic for unbiased histori=
an as
the historicity of Julius Caesar.=94

Also, keep in mind, that archeology in the Middle East was not set by God
loving people, but by men with the sole desire to disprove the accounts o=
f
the Bible, yet not =93One single account=94 in the Bible has been disprov=
ed=94 Why?
Yet as usual, some Universities and Muslim scholars teach this ignoring t=
he
facts. Why?=20

Strabo, 54 B.C, A pagan historian and geographer confirmed the Jewish
history. He documented the escape of the Jews from Egypt under Moses. He
said: =93Among many things believed respecting the temple and inhabitants=
of
Jerusalem, the report most credited is that the Egyptians were the ancess=
tors
of the present Jews. An egyptian priest named Moses, who possesed a porti=
on
the country called Lower Egypt, been disatisfied with the institutions th=
ere,
left it and came to Judea with a large body of people who worshipped the
divinity=94 (Starbo, Geography, lib. xvi.,c.2).

Diorous Siculus, 80 B.C, a Greek historian in his book he recorded: =93In
ancient times there happened a great plague in Egypt, and many ascribed t=
he
cause of it to God, who was offended with them because there were many
strangers in the land, by whom foreign rites and ceremonies were employed=
in
their worship of the deity. The Egyptians concluded; therfore, that unles=
s
all strangers were driven out of the country, they should never be freed =
from
their miseries. Upon this, as some writers tell us, the most enemies and
enterprising of those foreiners who were in Egypt, and obliged to leave t=
he
country...who retired into the province now called Judea, which was not f=
ar
from Egypt, and in those times uninhabited. Theseemigrants were led by Mo=
ses,
who was superior to all in wisdom and prowess. He gave them laws, and
ordained that they should have no images of the gods, because there was o=
nly
one deity, the heaven, which surrounds all things, and the Lord of the wh=
ole=94
(Diodrous Siculus, Library of History, lib. 1., ap Phot.).

Throughout history many scholars have attacked the Bible, yet it remained=
and
still stands as the most accurate book ever written. The Bible have been
confirmed by many historians, friends and foes of Israel. Take for exampl=
e
the Samaritans who hated the Jews and were sent to Israel around 700 B.C =
by
the Assyrians. They used the five books of the Torah and accepted them as
genuine, they jealousy guarded and preserved them for thousands of years
despite their hatred to the Jews.=20

Adnan, I realize there are alot of controversies going around concerning =
many
issues. Evil as you should know by know is always trying to destroy The
Truth. Yet The Truth should be abvious. Now , we do not have to find ever=
y
single element to conclude, as a matter of fact we shall find many obstac=
les
to it(finding truth). However the vast information should help us to carr=
y
the rest by faith and trust in God. He will reveal in His own time the
missing elements. Also please keep in mind that we all make mistakes, as =
I
admit I did in many statements in my postings. However, you should try to
sift everything.

I hope you realize I have been staying up till 2 A.M doing research just =
for
you, I hope you apreciate it, please do not regard my strong way of writt=
ing
as a put down, it is just my nature which I need some work to improve, I =
will
accept some advise

God Bless

Walid
